Howdy Peacemakers and other pizza lovers,
The McLean County Peacemakers held their annual banquet on Saturday, March 8, at the Pizza Ranch in Bloomington. Personally, I thought the fried chicken was better than the pizza, but there were mixed opinions about that.

Club president Mackinaw Jack led the evening by eating the most pizza. No. Wait. I mean, he led the evening as far as announcing the various parts of the banquet and running the business meeting.
What’s New for 2025:
- Four new AR500 targets
- Two scheduled Wild Bunch matches at Darnall’s (May 31 and August 30)
- Illinois State CAS and Wild Bunch Championship is in Beloit June 6-8
Special Thanks were given to:
- Dangerous Dan McGrew for all his work on the website and email comms
- Tomahawk Johnson for gathering all the door prizes
- Ron Darnall and his staff for all the set-up work they do each month. Also to Ron for the shot shell door prizes.
- Finally, all the setup helpers that get all our stages put up every month.
Election of Officers and Board members:
- President – Mackinaw Jack
- VP – Marshall RD
- Treasurer – Tomahawk Johnson
- Secretary – Comstock Charley
- At-large Directors – Dangerous Dan McGrew, Arizona Buffalo Joe, Sheriff Boo-Boo Bottom
Treasurer Tomahawk Johnson gave his report:
The checking account has just over $1800 in it. The future expense for new, larger AR500 targets is expected to be right at $800. The great majority of the membership dues have been paid for 2025.
Tomahawk also led the door-prizes portion of the evening: In addition to the club door prizes, donations were made by Marshal RD – 10 Box shotgun shells,

Dangerous Dan – Custom made Earring and boot charm set, Lady Lou – Boot coffee mug and boot toothpick holder, Comstock Charlie – George straight CD set, Arizona Buffalo Joe – two 50 packs of new Remington 38 spl brass in plastic shell boxes, Tomahawk Johnson – 1911 double mag pouch and leather fringed rifle case. Everyone’s a winner.

Dangerous Dan McGrew and Lady Lou led the group in a boisterous 4 rounds of their “Cowboy Dad Jokes” game. Let’s hope the rowdy boos and yee-haws didn’t disturb the other restaurant patrons. Team Shotgun won the game.
So, each member of Team Shotgun received their grand prize of a brand new, unopened can of cowboy beans. Van Camps, too. My favorite.
