It could have been worse. It could have snowed. Nineteen chilly cowboys joined the first outdoor Peacemakers’ match of the year. The sunshine helped the 40-50 degree temps, but the NW wind did not.

Top five finishers are: Midnight Justice, Dangerous Dan McGrew, Fire Marshal Bill, Comstock Charley and Mackinaw Jack. Six shooters were clean: Midnight Justice, Fire Marshal Bill, Chenoa Tim, Marshall RD, Tomahawk Johnson and Okie Pete.

The Peacemakers’ next cowboy match is May 16.

From Tomahawk Johnson: Range news

New steps are in place on the McLean County Mercantile prop. In February, Arizona Buffalo Joe and Tomahawk Johnson built two new sets of steps – all from treated wood. They were installed by Arizona Buffalo Joe, Midnight Justice and Tomahawk Johnson on Monday April 13th. Materials cost $259.00.

The handrails were also re-installed that Day. The old floorboard that had the big dip in it has been replaced too. Arizona Buffalo Joe donated that wood, removed the old board, cut the new one and re-installed it on Friday the 17th.

Arizona has also rebuilt the two shooting tables we use. All new tops and support wood. They are very pretty now. Materials cost for the two was $135.00. This is how your dues help keep the props maintained.

Arizona and Midnight Justice also brought down the new 9 target stand (to stages 4-5). We purchased it with the money from the October fundraiser.

A big thanks to these members for all their extra work!!!

On another note, thanks to the nine members that helped set up Friday night! That made it easier on all of us. For all those helping in the future with shoot set up, we will start at 5 PM.

Hope to see y’all next month.
