The Peacemakers’ September match defied the weather forecast and went off without any rain, which had a 40% chance during the match. Twenty-three shooters came out, including Re Peter who turned 89 a few days ago. Go Pete!!
Top 5 finishers: Don Jorge, Flaming Star, Dangerous Dan McGrew, Fire Marshal Bill and Wild Pike. Clean Shooters were: Dangerous Dan McGrew, Comstock Charley, Tomahawk Johnson, Marshal RD, Katie Twoshots and Sheriff Boo Boo Bottom.
The Bullwacker Plaque was awarded to Marshal RD and Tomahawk Johnson, who tied with 10 of 11 possible clean shoots this year. The Annie Oakley Plaque was awarded to Lady Lou and Katie Twoshots, also tied for most clean shoots for the year.
The last Wild Bunch match of the year will be October 3. October 10 is the Quigley long range match, and the next cowboy match is October 17. October will be busy.
