Twenty-five chilly shooters attended the October Peacemakers’ CAS match today. Started out near 40 degrees, ended up about 53. The sunshine and lack of wind helped considerably, though not so much in the hole-in-wall. One new shooter, Poor Shot, was welcomed.
Top five finishers: Midnight Justice, Dangerous Dan McGrew, Wild Pike, Father Fib and Mackinaw Jack. This was our annual money-raiser shoot, so MISS and PROCEDURE tickets were sold, raising $450 for the club and creating many of the twelve clean shooters today. They are: Midnight Justice, Dangerous Dan McGrew, Wild Pike, Marshal RD, Katie Twoshots, Tomahawk Johnson, Sheriff Boo Boo Bottom, Arizona Buffalo Joe, Lady Lou, Galva Girl, Okie Pete, and RePeeter. Thanks to all who contributed to the club.
Lunch was provided by Ron and Sue Darnall in celebration of their 60th Anniversary. Go Darnalls!!
Note that today’s Cowboy Match may be our last outdoor shoot of the season since November tends to get cold. We will likely write two versions of November’s match, one indoor & the other outdoor. A determination of which version we’ll use will be made on November 25th. Remember that the November Cowboy Match is the 4th Saturday (Nov 28th) and not the usual 3rd Saturday, due to scheduling concerns. Indoor matches are without shotgun, carts or black powder.
